The six carousels along with the thimble series were the first Keepsake ornament series (Betsey Clark began in 1973, but those are glass balls). More than in the thimbles, in this series you can see the changes in the artistry and technology between the first Antique Toys from 1978 and the last Santa and his Friends in 1983.
